E-business Consultants: They will help you with practically everything, from your choice of system to installation, and provide training and on-going support. These consultants reduce your workload and help you share the burden, but the main drawback is the cost, which can be quite high, depending on the experience and skills of the consultant.
E-business guidebooks: These give you a handle on all kinds of issues related to an e-business, from developing a business plan and designing and operating your website, to tips of how to best market your business and finding safe order solutions.
Both the “consultants” have their pros and cons, but the size of the business can help in making the decision. If the business involves more than 50 PCs, then it is probably a better idea to involve a human consultant, rather than a book, so that a 24/7 support system is available. If the business has only two to three PCs, a guidebook can be more cost-effective and informative.
