The course is designed to teach domestic energy assessor candidates, builders, home owners, home buyers, landlords, property managers and other interested individuals and organizations, such as healthcare professionals, housing associations and utility firms, the ins and outs of making residential dwellings energy efficient.

It will provide a practical look at the factors involved in making a home energy efficient, and will study energy legislation in the UK and other parts of Europe, as well as the European Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings.

Those who attend this and subsequent energy courses will learn about fuel poverty and how to combat it, home energy rating systems and the regulations for compliance, the various choices of heating, cooling and hot water controls and systems, and the meaning and value of renewable energy.
