Early on in the history of the World Wide Web, the Internet was tagged with the nickname "the information superhighway." A lot of cars are moving on that superhighway these days.

Shopping for a car online is no longer cutting edge or reserved to experts. More than two-thirds of new-car buyers use the Internet during the shopping process, according to a study published in 2006.

More used car buyers are shopping online, 59 percent in 2006 compared with 53 percent in 2005.  Numbers speak for themselves !
