The EU is fighting late payments to avoid more businesses to go out.
The Commission suggests a new policy approach to tackle the situation on late payments: "This is an important impetus to overcome the economic crisis by helping to avoid further bankruptcies and promoting businesses’ cash flow".

Gordon Brown outline plans to support small businesses

Gordon Brown met local business leaders in North Cumbria today, where he outlined plans to get banks to make an additional £70 billion available for lending. During a visit to the head office of the Carlisle-based Eddie Stobart Group, the PM said agreements with some banks had already been made, and discussions were progressing with others, to ensure credit would start flowing again. » Read More

Leaders from the world’s biggest economies come together today with the goal of agreeing a range of measures to help restore global economic growth.
Gordon Brown has also held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders from G20 nations. Last week the PM visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the UN in New York as well as meeting leaders from Brazil and Chile.

Google has grown very quickly in a very short period of time. When companies grow that quickly it's almost impossible to get everything right—and they certainly didn't.
In some areas they've created overlapping organizations which not only duplicate effort but also complicate the decision-making process. That makes the teams less effective and efficient than they should be.
In addition, they over-invested in some areas in preparation for the growth trends they were experiencing at the time.

Images of toddlers playing in a garden square in north London were captured on the mapping system, which has led to fears that the service could be exploited.
The internet search giant has had hundreds of requests for images to be removed since it launched Street View on Thursday, including pictures of members of the public leaving sex shops and shot of a group of people being arrested.
Richard Thomas, the Information Commissioner, is considering an investigation into Google if more images of naked children are found to have been picked up by its cameras and made available to internet users.
